SOMNI is a paranormal investigation first person shooter psychological horror game. SOMNI is both VR and Desktop compatible with support for up to 6 players. It is your duty to survive the night identifying and exterminating the threat at hand.

Enemy Types:
There are two main types of entities you will encounter in SOMNI, these entities are classified as either Ethereals or Cryptids.
Ethereals:
Ethereals are not affected by gunfire or other means of physical attacks, so it is important to hide when when the entity is actively searching for you. Gather evidence from your environment by making use of paranormal detection equipment such as thermometers, cameras, motion detectors and EMF readers to find out what kind of entity you are dealing with. Once identified, complete the correct immersive ritual to send whatever has been haunting you back from where it came.
Cryptids:
When dealing with a Cryptid, the tone of the game changes. Cryptids are physical beings that bleed but possess supernatural abilities. The only way to deter one from chasing you is to fight back with superior firepower. You'll need to arm and protect yourself from the encroaching terror. Focus your investigation on completing the ritual located in your environment by staying out of sight and not making too much noise. Use the weapons you have at your disposal to fend off the cryptid for long enough to complete the ritual. Completing the ritual will summon a special weapon capable of bringing the cryptid down for good. The cryptid is always on the hunt and it will take much more than luck to survive an encounter. VR Experience:
SOMNI has an immersive Virtual Reality Experience and it greatly enhances the horror aspect of the game.
Perks:
SOMNI v1.2 adds perks to the player's arsenal. Choose your perk to aid your investigation, increase your abilities, or change up the game a bit.
Plenty of unique perks are now available for you to choose from to help you survive. Be careful though, dying at any time will destroy the perk entirely and you will need to work up enough money to purchase it again or try a different perk!
